Meet the Parkway Dental Team
Donald Simmons, DDS
Dr. Don Simmons is a native Arkansan, graduating from Ashdown High School in 1979. After graduating from Ouachita Baptist University in 1983 with a B.S. in Chemistry, he attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he graduated with a doctorate in dental surgery in 1987 and has been practicing dentistry since this time. Dr. SImmons Founded parkway dental, formerly known as Simmons family dental, in 1992. he sold the practice to dr. Brooks and dr. Kirby in december of 2020 but he is still working part time.
Dale Brooks, DDS
Dr. Dale Brooks was born and raised in Moulton, AL. After graduating high school, Dr. Brooks attended Freed-Hardeman Univ in Henderson, TN where he graduated with a degree in biology in 2002. he then went on to attend the Univ of Tennessee College of Dentistry. While in dental school, was given the Academy of General Dentistry Award for the student with the most potential to become an exceptional general dentist. After graduation, Dr. Brooks moved to Russellville and started working here at Parkway Dental.
Amy Kirby, DDS
Dr. Amy Kirby was born and raised here in russellville. She is the Daughter of Craig and Connie Campbell. Dr. Kirby obtained A B.s. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University where She graduated with honors. Dr. Kirby received her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where she received a scholarship for her excellence. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and American Association of Women in Dentistry .
Erica Bevis, Office Manager
Erica has been with Parkway dental for 20 years. she is married with two kids, brandon and brooke. in her free time, erica enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching televsion. erica keeps this place running and we don’t know what we’d do without her!
Tammy Ponsetto, Patient Coordinator
Tammy has been with parkway dental Since 2002. She is married to Gene Ponsetto who is an OWNER of a local dental lab, GM Dental Lab! Gene and Tammy have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. Tammy’s favorite thing about PD Is the girls she works with and the patients--we really do have the best patients ever. Tammy attributes her start in the dental field to a definite God thing! Mrs. Tammy is a hoot and we are so thankful to have her at our office!!
Rebecca Toben, Patient Coordinator
Rebecca started in April 2021 and has quickly adapted to her role. Rebecca has been married to her husband for 7 years and has two kids, Karsyn and Oakley. In her spare time, she loves reading and enjoys all things sports related, particularly anything OU related-“Boomer Sooner.” She is an incredibly talented calligrapher and is always our go-to when we need a sign made. Rebecca’s favorite local restaurant is Umamis and you can catch her supporting the local coffee shops with her love of coffee. Rebecca is always such a joy to be around. She loves picking on her coworkers and her coworkers love picking on her as well. We are SO thankful to have Rebecca on our team!
Dental Hygiene Team
Missy Barnes, RDH
Missy has been a member of the Parkway Dental Team for 15 years! She knew she wanted to be a hygienist when she was 12 years old because she loved her own hygienist. She has been married to John Barnes for 27 years and they have 3 children: Jordan (25), Tori (23), and Zoe (13). Missy loves to spend time with her family and all of her pets! She has a goldendoodle named Max and SEVEral cats. Missy is great at building relationships; her favorite thing about working at PD is working with all the girls and doctors and getting to know her patients. We are so grateful to have Mrs. Missy Barnes, RDH on our team!
Stephanie McElroy, RDH
Stephanie has been with Parkway Dental for 8 years. She has been married to Aaron McElroy for 5 years. They have a little girl named Carsyn who is 2.5 and a little boy named Luke on the way! Stephanie’s favorite thing about her job is educating patients on their oral health and helping them achieve a healthy smile. Stephanie entered the hygiene field because of her hygienist here at Parkway Dental. She shadowed and loved the atmosphere at Parkway Dental and applied to hygiene school that spring! Stephanie’s favorite restaurant in town is Brick Oven! We are so blessed to have Stephanie as a part of our Parkway Dental family!
Audrey Nordin, RDH
Audrey Nordin is one of our newest hygienists here at parkway. She recently graduated with her Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene from UAFS. She loves spending time with her friends and family and can be found hanging out with them or traveling to visit her boyfriend, Steven, on the weekends. She likes to hike, kayak and do anything that involves being outside. Though she's an outdoors girl, she also really likes to bake. What motivated her to get into the dental field was a close family friend who was a dental assistant and encouraged her to pursue a dental hygiene degree. Audrey loves talking to her patients and getting to know fun facts about them. She can often be heard sharing laughs with patients and coworkers and is a bright light within our walls. We love having Audrey at Parkway!
Morgan Reynolds
Morgan also recently graduated with her Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene from UAFS and we are so excited to have her here! she is from Coal Hill and makes quite the drive to work each morning. She loves reading and hiking and is an avid escape room enthusiast. Fall is her favorite season! She's a huge Razorback fan and will be cheering them on this football season. Woo Pig Sooie!! Morgan knew she wanted to be a dental hygienist because she wanted to help people. Her goal for the future is to do mission work in third world countries in order to help educate people about their dental health. We are so happy to have Morgan as part of our family here at Parkway! She'd love to meet you and take care of you for your next cleaning!
Dental Assistant Team
Cathy Burchfield, RDA
Cathy has been a member of the Parkway Dental Team for 22 years and a dental assistant for 34 years. she has been dr. simmons’ main assistant her entirety of her time here at parkway dental. Cathy is married to Craig Burchfield and they live in the country. They have one cat named Izzy, two blue heelers named Mookie and Molly and they have one horse named Sugar. Cathy’s favorite thing to do outside of the dental office is going riding on the back roads with her husband in their Jeep. Her favorite thing about working at PD is the patients and the girls she works with! Cathy’s favorite food is mexican food.We are so thankful for Cathy, the longest standing member of the PD team!!
Laura Zinnell, RDA
Laura has been with Parkway dental for 8 years. Laura is originally from Russellville, She is dr. Brooks’ assistant. she graduated from RHS in 2002. Laura and Lamont have three kids Hadrian, Taviah, and Tracy. They also have a cat named Roscoe and a lab named Nala. Laura spends most of her time outside the dental office being a taxi driver for kids to ball games and practices. Her favorite part of working at PD is that everyone is so friendly and gets along great! Laura was brought into the dental field by her dear Aunt Cathy! Yes, Cathy, Dr. Simmon’s assistant is Laura’s aunt! Laura’s favorite candy is gummies and she loves the local restaurant La Chaquita! We are so grateful to have Laura as a part of our team!
Deb Allison, RDA
Deb has been With parkway dental for 15 years. She is married with 1 son who serves in our military with his wife, they have a 2 year old little boy and live on base in hawaii. Deb loves her animals, she has horses, chickens, goats, and cats. deb assists with all of our denture and partial patients and she assists both doctors when she is needed. deb is a team player and we don’t know what we’d do without her!
Abby Musset, RDA
Abby started with Parkway in July of 2020 as Dr. Kirby’s assistant but you would think she had been here for 10 years. Abby is originally from Fort Smith, AR and she is the oldest of two girls. Abby’s favorite person in the world is her nephew Walker who is 3 years old. Abby moved to Russellville to attend ATU where she received her B.S. in Communications and her Master’s in Emergency Management. Abby loved Russellville so much that she stayed and we are so glad! Abby’s favorite thing about Parkway dental is her coworkers, talking with patients, and food days! Abby also attributes landing in the dental field to the Lord. She was always interested in dentistry and she is so happy to be in the dental field now. Abby’s favorite candy is 100 grand and her favorite local restaurant is Stoby’s! We are so glad abby joined our team!!
